A rare Hanuman idol that stands waist-deep in the waters of the Godavari at Ramkund.
This small shrine on the Godavari ghat is known for its unusual Hanuman idol, believed to stand in the river itself. During high water the idol is partly submerged, which is why it is called Dutondya, 'the one who stands in water'. It lies right beside the Ramkund bathing area and takes five minutes to visit as part of your ghat walk.
