Anjaneri Hill

The hill believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.

Anjaneri is a flat-topped hill on the way to Trimbakeshwar. Local tradition holds that Hanuman was born here to Anjani, which is how the hill got its name. There is a temple of Anjani Mata near the top and the walk is a good short trek in the cooler months. It is easy to combine with a Trimbakeshwar trip.
